Edifier S1000DB Audiophile Active Bookshelf Speakers.Review

I spent some time reading reviews of various speakers at different price points and finally settled on these because they seemed to receive almost universal praise, while staying well within my budget. There's a risk to buying moderately expensive speakers without hearing them first, or knowing if they will be suitable for your particular set up. In terms of Amazon purchases, this was possibly the best risk I have ever taken. These speakers are truly amazing. At this price point (just under $350), they represent terrific value.

My particular set up is a simple 3.5mm jack (included) connected to my laptop on a large desktop. I use a graphic equalizer that came with the computer. The speakers additionally have bass, treble and volume knobs on the rear of the 'active' right speaker to enable you to tweak as needed. An optical port is included, as well as the traditional RCA inputs. There is also a coaxial input. The speakers are Bluetooth compatible, and to get the most out of this functionality, you will need the latest software, though a quick question about backwards compatibility I posed to the seller indicated that they will pair with any device that supports A2DP. I planned to test this out, but I have been so pleased and impressed with the 3.5mm direct input, that I haven't felt inclined to bother. The set comes with small remote that operates volume, mute and power, as well as the ability to switch between inputs. The active right speaker displays a different LED color depending on the input.

This is a great power bank that has Quick Charger 3.0 and has one of the largest batteries that I have ever seen in one. It is great that it can be chartered by Micro USB, Lightning and USB-C. To charge a device it has 3 full USB ports (1 QC 3.0 and 2 2.4 amp) and 1 USB-C port. One of the best feature that they included it that it Quick Chargers 3.0 thru Micro USB, which makes recharging the power bank from 0-100% in about 6-7 hrs. They also included 2 Micro USB short cables, 2 tips for Lightning and USB-C, and a mesh carrying bag.

The only considerations when purchasing it that it is a large power bank(in fooprint), but its a slim one too. Also a Quick Charger to recharge is a must.

Samsung Electronics QN55Q7F 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart QLED TV. Review

I am very pleased with the color, brightness and blacks of this TV. However, I am getting some sort of ghost vertical bands/stripes spanning from top to bottom of the screen. These bands are most prevalent with the camera pans for example when watching a soccer game. I think I have adjusted every picture setting on the TV and nothing has made a change. The input (directv hdmi) was never an issue with the previous TV I had and I don't know a way of changing the frame rate if that could be the possible culprit. Any input would be welcomed.

Earlier this month, my TV entertainment included Dish 200+ channel satellite TV, 20Mbps turbo internet, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. After doing some research, I bought 3 Amazon Fire Sticks with the voice remote, cancelled Dish, upgraded to 30Mbps internet, added Sling 25 channels, added standard Hulu, and CBS All Access. Guess who still gets 96+% of the channels watched, added Prime Music and several hundred shows (that networks don't play) to all the TVs in the house, and saved over $700 per year compared to what I paid this past year? I did. I never thought of "cutting the cord" until I really looked into it all. Getting Amazon Fire Sticks are worth it and they work well....and once you get used to knowing what show plays where, it's a no-brainer.
